BECCA Backlight Primer

BECCA Backlight Primer has not surprisingly become one of this seasons products that I just adore the most! I use it under my makeup to impart a slight amount of golden sheen that looks beautiful in photos and has changed the whole makeup game for me. As a gal on the hunt for the perfect golden glow I knew there was going to be something different about this primer....something special!

It is marketed as a 'luminous light weight primer' which creates a smooth canvas while at the same time imparting a 'glow from within'. From first unboxing it felt luxurious, the bottle felt expensive/heavy and heavily scented. I love the pump which imparts only the perfect amount for each application and never any more.

The texture is a lightweight whipped cream formula with the colour mix of a neutral golden beige that will suit most/all skin tones. It applies like a dream and smooths out imperfections/pores/ fine lines and imparts a luminescent glow that is never oily or shimmery. Upon first application I felt the texture was like an addition to my skincare routine as  it made my skin feel soft and refreshed before my makeup application.

The golden tone of the BECCA Backlight Primer blends to a soft sheen on the face.

Now for a girl who has a combination/oily skin type it did not break me out nor did it make me appear any oiler or create any irritation on my skin. I am one who enjoy a golden glow and a big lover of the Charlotte Tilbury Wonder Glow primer which is similar in finish but less golden in colour. Dry skin types will absolutely appreciate this because it will impart a radiance that your skin will thank you for, now if you have acne/oily skin and are thinking about this primer I would suggest asking for a sample at your BECCA counter to test it for yourself to make sure you are comfortable with the amount of glow it gives as it does not leave a matte finish at all.
